This R.E.D. Friday, we honor Glen “Bub” Doherty, a highly decorated U.S. Navy SEAL, petty officer first class (Special Warfare Operator), with combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, who later served as a CIA protective officer. On September 11–12, 2012, amid the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya, Glen defended American lives at the cost of his own. For his valor, he and his fellow fallen patriots were collectively awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 2022—a lasting national tribute to their sacrifice.
