This R.E.D. Friday, we honor Corporal Luis Paez, Deputy Sheriff Ralph “Butch” Waller, and Deputy Sheriff Ignacio “Dan” Diaz of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. On November 21, 2024, while serving with the motorcycle patrol unit along Southern Boulevard near Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, all three were struck by an SUV while stopped on the roadside, suffering fatal injuries in the line of duty. Between them, these motormen dedicated more than 50 years of service to Palm Beach County, Florida.
