Today we honor First Lieutenant James Robert Kalsu. Kalsu was an All-American Offensive Tackle for the Buffalo Bills. Before leaving his football career to fight in the Vietnam War he was offered a deferment to continue as a professional football player. However he opted to honor his commitment to serve in the military. Sadly, he was killed in action during the Vietnam war, at the age of 25.
