Today, we honor U.S. Army Technical Sergeant Clinton Hendrick. On March 27-28, 1945, in Germany, Technical Sergeant Hedrick showed bravery during combat near Wesel. Despite intense enemy fire, he led his unit, inspiring them to overcome enemy positions. He pursued the enemy into Lembeck Castle, accepting their surrender before sacrificing his life to cover his comrades' withdrawal.
