Today, we honor the seven U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officers and one Jordanian officer who were killed by a suicide bomber at Forward Operating Base Chapman in Khost, Afghanistan, on December 30, 2009. The attacker posed as an informant reporting on al-Qaeda. In 2010, the CIA added 12 new stars to its Memorial Wall, seven of which honored these fallen officers.

Their sacrifice is commemorated on the CIA Memorial Wall, which honors those who have given their lives in service to the United States.
