Today, we honor U.S. Army Captain Jason Holbrook, 28, of Burnet, Texas. Captain Holbrook was a dedicated soldier assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, known for their elite and demanding missions. On July 29, 2010, while serving in Tsagay, Afghanistan, Captain Holbrook was killed when insurgents targeted his vehicle with an improvised explosive device. His sacrifice stands as a testament to his bravery, commitment, and selfless service to his country.
