Dedicated to Officer James Lowell Capoot of the Vallejo Police Department, who gave his life in the line of duty on November 17, 2011, while pursuing an armed suspect involved in a bank robbery. Officer Capoot, 45, was a dedicated public servant and a resident of Vacaville, California. He joined the Vallejo Police Department in 1993, serving as a motorcycle officer, motorcycle instructor, driving instructor, and SWAT officer. His valor and bravery earned him two Medals of Courage, including one Life-Saving Medal, along with numerous other departmental commendations.
