On this R.E.D. Friday at On this R.E.D. Friday at HEW Fitness, we honor U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Ty M. Carter, a Medal of Honor recipient recognized for his extraordinary bravery during the Battle of Kamdesh on October 3, 2009, in Afghanistan. Facing overwhelming enemy fire, Carter repeatedly risked his life to resupply his fellow soldiers, provide critical first aid, and carry a wounded comrade to safety. His selfless actions and fierce determination in the face of danger exemplify the strength, courage, and sacrifice we honor every Friday.
