Honoring U.S. Navy Lt. J. Wesley “Wes” Van Dorn

On this R.E.D. Friday at HEW Fitness, we honor U.S. Navy Lt. J. Wesley “Wes” Van Dorn, who lost his life on January 8, 2014, in a helicopter crash off the coast of Virginia. A devoted husband, father, and skilled pilot with Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron 14, Wes was known for his rare ability to lift with the strongest and run with the fastest. He is remembered not only for his strength and athleticism, but for his deep integrity, compassion, and commitment to others. Today, we move in tribute to his service, his sacrifice, and the legacy he leaves behind.
