Honoring Sergeant Dakota Meyer

This R.E.D. Friday, we honor Sergeant Dakota Meyer of the U.S. Marine Corps for his extraordinary gallantry in Afghanistan on September 8, 2009. Under heavy enemy fire, Meyer repeatedly exposed himself to danger to rescue fellow Marines and Afghan allies — actions that earned him the Medal of Honor. Even today, his legacy lives on as a powerful example of sacrifice, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service.
